BRD-E Series: Massive Storage Performance & Capacity with Optional Boot Capability

BRD-E Series AIC RAID Drives were designed for applications that require maximum transfer performance with optional boot capability for Windows and Linux operating systems. BRD-E Series AIC RAID Drives are available for PCIe Gen3 and Gen4 hardware platforms, and feature up to 32TB of pre-configured RAID 0, 1, or 1/0 storage.

Natively Supported by VM Platforms & Linux Distributions

BRD-E AIC RAID drives are natively supported by Linux distributions utilizing kernel v3.10 and later, and current VM platforms such as VMware, Citrix Hypervisor, Proxmox, and Hyper-V.

RAID 0 (Striping) - Also known as a “stripe” array, this mode delivers Maximum Performance and capacity by linking multiple NVMe SSD's together to act as a single storage unit.

RAID 1 (Mirroring) - This mode creates a hidden duplicate of the target SSD, and is ideal for bootable applications that require an extra layer of data security.

RAID 1/0 (Security & Speed) - RAID 1/0 offers the Best of Both Worlds. it will mirror the data of one stripe array to a second, hidden stripe array for security. RAID 1/0 is capable of delivering read performance on par with RAID 0, and is superior to RAID 5 for NVMe applications. Unlike RAID 5, RAID 1/0 doesn’t necessitate additional parity related write operations, which reduce the TBW life span of NVMe SSD’s.

Ultra-Efficient, Low-Noise Cooling Solution

FnL SSD7103-based AIC drives features a full-length anodized aluminum casing, with an integrated cooling fan and high-conductivity thermal cooling pad. This ultra-efficient, low-noise cooling system was designed to keep critical controller componentry and hosted NVMe SSD’s within their temperature thresholds, even under sustained, full-load.

Low-Noise Hyper Cooling Solution

The FnL Hyper-Cooling solution designed specifically for large M.2 configurations, and combines a high-conductivity thermal pad with an anodized aluminum heatsink equipped with dual built-in, low noise fans. This design ensures the M.2 SSDs, NVMe chipset and RAID componentry remain cool, even under heavy load, while minimizing the risk of distraction in the work environment.
